On-site working conditions: American Shouli centrifugal air compressor, the air compressor is equipped with ordinary power frequency motor, rated voltage AC380V rated current 808A, rated power 450KW. Because the user's own power grid capacity is too small, the starting current of the motor is required not to exceed the rated current of the motor, so the centrifugal air compressor can only use the variable frequency starting method.
Field problem: Since the motor is an ordinary motor and a non-frequency conversion motor, this air compressor must be started by frequency conversion. Therefore, after the centrifugal air compressor is started by frequency conversion, the frequency converter is still running at 50HZ. The stator temperature of the motor is generally high and has been maintained at 126 degrees Celsius. The frequency converter itself also has loss and heating phenomena. This will instead make the frequency converter waste more electricity and energy when working at 50HZ than when running at power frequency, and the field harmonics are large. The capacitor of the field capacitor compensation cabinet is damaged many times due to the failure to control the harmonics.
Solution: After on-site communication and understanding, our company has specially designed a low-voltage inverter undisturbed switching cabinet for customers according to the actual problems faced by users. The frequency conversion of the air compressor is started, and then it is switched to the power frequency state without interference. When the frequency converter is running at 50HZ, the current of the frequency converter is only 300A, and the impact current is 600A when switching the power frequency, which is far lower than 808A of the rated current of the air compressor. When the air compressor is running at 50HZ, the stator temperature is also reduced from 126 degrees to 105 degrees, and the motor running current is 750A A.
